Beach Journal- entry 1

Day 1:
Yesterday we arrived at the beach house around 3:00pm. We left the house that morning at 4:45am.
Right after arriving at the house, we unloaded the trailer. It took the last ounce of energy I had left.
That evening we took a walk down the beach. The sea looked almost like it was angry, and even the colors seemed dark. I saw quite a few jelly fish- dead ones and ones drifting in the water. I have been stung by jelly fish before, and let me tell you it hurts. It's funny, our neighbors walked over to our house and gave us some remedies and tips for jellyfish stings.....that says a lot. They actually gave us a whole bottle of vinegar lol.
I woke up this morning and saw my sister sitting, diligently reading her Bible. I admire her so, and I'm so blessed to have her in my life. I want to be like her. She's always been a great example to me. I've started reading the book of Philippians today. Our church is doing a study on that book. Pastor gave us a study guide thing to fill out for it. So while we are down here I'm going to focus on that book.
Also, I love to read Morning and Evening by Charles Spurgeon. Today's morning entry was taken from 1Thessalonians 4:14- 14 "For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him." I enjoy reading Spurgeon's writings, they encourage me.

There is some bad news that happened yesterday-
A 17 year old boy got killed at Six Flags after jumping the fence under the Batman roller coaster, to take a short-cut for re-entering the park. He was decapitated and died instantaneously.
