"What's wrong with it? It's not pinching me!"

Haha.
But most crabs don't just sit there and let people poke at it. LOL. Yep, I'm convinced it has to be a mental crab.

Hope you have a great day!

Yes, I've been playing for 2 1/2-3 years. I am kind of in book 4 kind of in book 1...lol. My old teacher got me to book 4 before we moved and my new teacher is re-teaching me some of her ways of doing things, so she is taking me through book 1 again to make it easier to learn some new tecniques. I believe once we are done with book 1 (were almost to the Minuets) were going to skip to book 3 and work from there.

Do you take lessons from a Suzuki certified teacher or a traditional teacher? In NC we took from a traditional teacher, who taughgt Suzuki as well as other literature, but at our new place we are taking from a Suzuki certified teacher. The Suzuki teacher is VERY good, and a very good teacher...she has shown us many ways how to make playing easier and how to do it really "the right way". Its interesting to see the differences in the two teachers.

I love playing hymns on the violin. At our old church a lot of the kids played the violin. After about a year I started playing in the morning and evening services plus at a Nursing Home that the kids from church went to weekly. I learned so much playing at church..there was about 5 or 6 other violins usually and we had weekly music practices to prepare for the sunday worship service. It was not only helpful, but tons of fun! Some of the older kids who played would pick all the kids who played up and take them there, so we would always have fun riding there as well! Hymns are great and they really taught me a lot about chords, keys, and reading different parts (melody, alto, tenner, and base).

Do you like playing hymns? Which ones do you like to play if so?

I also have played the piano for 9 years. That is why it was a little easier for me to learn how to play the violin.

Well sorry that was such a long comment. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Love,
Arya
