is blogging boring? you decide.

"Blogging is boring."
"Blogging is boring?"
"Yea, no one gets on here anymore."
"That's cause everyone is on facebook."

I don't have a facebook. I don't really really want a facebook.....but kinda I do. But I know it would probably take up a lot of time.

Since I don't know what to post about...I'd like to ask a question:

Which do you like the most???
A. FACEBOOK
B. BLOGGING
C. TWITTER
D. MYSPACE
E. XANGA (who still does that?)

Anyways, I think blogging is as boring as you want to make it. I mean, the more time you put into it, the more you get out of it. Like for example: if you want more comments, it's a known fact that you gotta leave more comments!
You know, it's the same way with the Christian life: The more time you put into it, the more you get out of it. Hey the Christian life won't work if you're not putting your effort into it. You gotta seek the Lord! You can't expect Him to change you if your not spending time with Him so that He can work on you.

Well, I don't know if I'll be posting much more after this post. Blogging is just getting to be a little....blah.

God Bless,
Holly

What is it about the rain that causes it to have a strange effect on my eyelids?

Is it the lullaby it brings as each droplet is dispersed out of the swelling sky?

Or, is it how the skies sweetly dim the lights around the earth outside my window.

No, the rain does not want to soothe me, but abruptly jolts me! O how heavily you are now thrashing on the window dear raindrops! I get the impression that now something in the clouds has a mood of haste and discontent. As if the skies are now impatient and rationally decide to blast those ever-growing raindrops away from its white hands.

The trees can only respond by barely swaying their needles.

The clouds are not satisfied. They wish to see the pines dance!

But the sturdy, flimsy pines are now motionless from the inconsistent showers.

The rain comes again, alone without the wind. The trees just observe, with the melting sky’s discontent running down its soaked shaft.

Thankful is the earth for such a watering, and I am tired once more.

Thunderstruck am I, my dear lullaby! I did not think you were in such a mood!

First you are quick to flash your anger, and then express it more fitfully by the rumble of your displeasure. This is a deceitful gentle rain.

Calm again, please calm again. I can still sense your bitterness in the distant grumblings.

I wait. What will those tainted white clouds do next?

It is as if the atmosphere is at the threshold of relaxing its anxieties, but I remember the roar just moments ago.

This is nothing new to the nonchalant trees who can read the clouds unlike credulous me. I look to the pines for answers now, who are suddenly still as Stonewall in the middle of a battle. From the way they look, I reluctantly hypothesize to serene myself again.

What a grudge the skies must be holding! It again tries to express the hard feelings with a tantrum of airborne canons.

We tranquil observers do not empathize. The rain is too captivating.

Writer's Block.....Not a Rare Diagnosis to the Blogger.

Well, here I am. I have come to the point of never knowing what to write about. My sister keeps asking me, "When are you going to update?". It's just that these days, nothing is coming to mind...to be honest, I don't get on blogger much anymore. I would...if only I could come up with some interesting topics to write about, and put it all together. Life has been pretty busy lately. Each week passes, and before I know it, another month passes. I have a feeling 2009 has no intentions of slowing down.

A week ago, I had the privilege of going to a one day music camp called "Stringtastic" with some friends from church. We (Amber and I) left the house at around 6:30am, and didn't get home until about 7:30pm that night. At camp, we basically learned (or at least tried to learn as much as we could) 3 pieces of music.....by playing them for 300 minutes total (talk about a lot of playing time!). I learned a whole lot about music, and what it's like to play in a group (that was the way fun part). At around 3:00pm, we got on stage (oh btw this was held at a college...it was nice) and preformed our pieces in front of a fairly large crowd. I was nervous before coming out on stage, but not so much once I got out there...partly because I was in the back. I messed up a few notes, but kept on going. It's difficult to keep up with the others when you get lost in the music and don't know where you are at! But somehow I made it through. I totally enjoyed the whole experience. It's hard sometimes to get out of your "comfort zone", but it's really worth it when you can look back and smile.....and also be thankful for the opportunity.

Afterwords (man was I ever tired), we went to the college's museum in which dad had done some artwork for a few years ago. It was so neat to see the paintings on the walls because I had remembered some of them from back when he painted them (I was like 7 or 8 at the time). Since it was Autumn's 7th birthday, we went out to eat (at Outback Steakhouse).....and then finally came home. lol. What a day! It wasn't quite over when we go home. Autumn still had to open presents and blow out the candles on her cake. Lol. I had a great day at Stringtastic, and will always remember my first orchestra concert.

Now I am in an orchestra that meets on Monday nights....and they will have their concert sometime in May. I have been a little overwhelmed lately with all the music this lady keeps handing out every time I go. Lots of the pieces have notes that are flats (that can be hard to play on the violin).....and so it's been a struggle to keep up. Also, the music is "simplified" so lots of it doesn't have the melody to I just don't know what this stuff is going to sound like sometimes. But, I still have 2 months to figure it out.....hopefully that's enough time.

Well looks like I found some things to write about after all!

Sunday Snow

It was beautiful! I love the snow, but I'm glad it only comes around once a year or so. It's more exciting that way.
